Richard Czok, B.A.

Mr. Richard Czok is a graduate of McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography, specializing in geomorphology. Richard worked for Geomatics International Inc. for six years before founding Geosphere Infomatic Services. He has 26 years experience both with geographical information systems (GIS) as a spatial data analyst and in the environmental consulting field as a field technician.
In the GIS field, Richard has been involved in all aspects of integration, coordination and management of digital spatial data. Relevant work experience includes creation and amalgamation of GIS information from a variety of sources, updating existing GIS layers, and merging of several GIS layers to produce composite maps relevant to clients needs.
In the environmental field, Richard\'s experience includes: data collection; collection of core samples from both terrestrial and aquatic environments; interpretation of landforms, biophysiographic units and air photos; site investigation for candidate parks and areas of natural scientific interest (ANSI); as well as the mapping of geomorphological features.
Richard is skilled in using many spatial software programs including ArcGIS, ArcInfo, ArcView, Surfer and AutoCAD, as well as data management programs such as Microsoft Excel and Access. Richard has worked on MS-DOS systems, Microsoft Windows and NT Workstations, Linux and Unix workstations.
Under Richard\'s leadership, Geosphere now provides services locally to small businesses and municipalities, provincially and nationally to government agencies, and globally to clients in countries spanning several continents.
